Speakers’ Bios

Paul Sabino (Main Session & Workshop Speaker)

Paul is the Lead Pastor of Candeo Church in Cedar Falls, IA.  Paul is originally from Nevada and graduated from Iowa State University.  He served on staff with The Salt Company college ministry and Cornerstone Church in Ames before moving to the Des Moines metro area to pastor.  In 2013, he and his family moved to Cedar Falls to lead a planting team in starting a church and college ministry at University of Northern Iowa.  He has been married to Jenni for 21 years and they have 3 children.

 

Nate Sapp  (Worship Leader)

Nate grew up in Nairobi, Kenya as a missionary kid and came to K-State in the fall of 2000.  He met Erika, his lovely wife and partner in ministry, through Christian Challenge and they were married the summer of 2004.  Nate joined staff at KSU Christian Challenge January 2005, upon graduation from K-State with a Secondary Education degree, as the worship leader and loves his job of connecting with college students and leading them in worship.

Melody Richeson (Workshop Speaker)
Melody leads the ministry Alongside Women that is devoted to helping equip the next generation of collegiate staff women. Previously she was on staff for nine years with Christian Challenge at the University of Nebraska and then spent 7 years on staff with FOCUS International She lives in Wichita and is a huge tennis fan, loves spontaneity, and one of her favorite things is when people show up at her front door unexpectedly!

Jim Presnell (Workshop Speaker)
Jim is a church planter and pastor of Rock Hill Church in Lawrence, Kansas. His vision is to recruit, equip and deploy Great Commission laborers – whether it is across the street or to the nations. Jim and his wife Cindy grew up in the mountains of East Tennessee and he earned degrees from Milligan College, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and Fuller Seminary. Jim marvels at the beauty of the local church, is passionate about baseball and looks forward to heaven, where his curveball will one day break sharply.

Dick Jacques (Workshop Speaker)
Dick is the Lead Pastor at New Hope Church in Manhattan, Kansas. He has served in student ministries at Kansas State and University of Oklahoma. He and his wife, Nancy have been married for 33 years and are blessed with three children (whom are all married) and have three grandkids.

Glenn Davis (Workshop Speaker)
Glenn served for 30 years as a pastor and has a great love for the local church. After pastoring First Southern Baptist Church in Salina for 25 years, he moved to Wichita to serve as Director of Missions for Heart of Kansas Southern Baptist Association.

Alex Tuckness (Workshop Speaker)
Alex is a Professor of Political Science and the faculty advisor for “The Salt Company” (campus ministry of Cornerstone Church of Ames) at Iowa State University.

Jeremy Krause (Workshop Speaker)
Jeremy is the lead teaching pastor at Mill Creek Community Church in Shawnee, KS. He seeks to passionately glorify God by trusting, treasuring, and teaching the gospel. After his love for Jesus, Jeremy loves his wife Brooke, his three daughters, and the Denver Broncos (in that order). Jeremy loves to laugh, doesn’t take himself too seriously, and considers himself a donut connoisseur.

Terry Williams & Earnest Alexander (Workshop Speakers)
Terry is the Pastor of River Community Church.  Earnest is the Executive Director at Youth Horizons.

Kathy Addis (Workshop Speaker)
Kathy holds the role of women’s ministry leader and prayer team member at CrossPoint Church where her husband Andy pastors. She also works part-time for a local boutique, Weight Watchers and a party planning business but will always say it’s her role as a wife and mother that are most important. She’s a very infrequent blogger (kathyaddis.com) and would rather doodle her notes during church than write them.

Haley Williams (Workshop Speaker)
Haley lives in Hays and is actively involved in her church, CrossPoint Hays. Haley graduated from FHSU in 2009 and later that year married her college sweetheart Daniel. During their time at FHSU Daniel and Haley were involved in Christian Challenge and upon graduation entered ministry vocationally. Most recently they have started a marriage ministry at CrossPoint Hays called Prepare & Enrich.
